Runddy Ramilo is an APEC & ASEAN Architect with specialist expertise in hospitality design and resort planning. He brings with him over 20 years of international experience from world's best design firms in Singapore responsible for design competitions of luxury branded hospitality projects in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

He was an Associate and Senior Design Manager for 20 years at several well-known global design firms such as HKS Architects (Singapore), Aedas (Singapore), Wilson and Associates (Singapore), Designphase Hospitality (Singapore), DP Architects (Singapore). He worked along with hotel operators and F & B consultants while leading a team of architects and interior designers. 

 

With his exceptional skills in quick space planning and formulation of creative design ideas into sketches, he was the Lead Designer of several award-winning hospitality projects such as Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort in Singapore, Grand Hyatt Resorts in Hainan China, Olhuville Resorts & Spa in Maldives, Taj Hotel, in Chennai India, Radisson Blu Hotel in Mumbai, India, Sheraton Hotel in Bangladesh and Hilton Hotel in Wangfujing China. 

 

Incredibly versatile, he is also active in design research through post-doctoral research fellowship. He presented his research works in international conferences and published high impact factor journals. He is a scientific reviewer of several referred academic journals such as Frontiers of Architectural Research (Elsevier) and Journal of Engineering, Construction and Architectural Management. He maintains strong alliance with research at CodeLab, Curtin University Australia and University of Technology Malaysia.

He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture (Graduated with Merit) at UTM/Deakin University, Master of Science in Integrated Sustainable Design, National University of Singapore, Master of Science in Construction Management, University of the East and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from National University, Philippines as a Full Scholar. 

 

He is a Registered APEC and ASEAN Architect, LEED Green Associate, and member of Royal Institute of British Architects, American Institute of British Architects, Interior Confederation of Singapore and the Charter President of United Architects in the Philippines in Singapore.
